Hasanthika Sirisena is a Sri Lankan-American whose essays and fiction have appeared in numerous magazines including the Michigan Quarterly ReviewCopper NickelThe Kenyon Review, and Narrative and anthologized in This is the PlaceEveryday People: The Color of LifeBest New American Voices, and named a notable story by Best American Short Stories in 2011 and 2012. She has received fellowships from the MacDowell Colony, Yaddo, the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference and is a Rona Jaffe Writers’ Award recipient. Her collection The Other One was the winner of the Juniper Prize for Fiction and was released in 2016.
